US 688-class submarines 1/350

SSN-688 USS Los Angeles. (688 Flight I)

The 688-class submarines were built in tree series (Flights). With the kit from HobbyBoss all three can be built.
The USS Los Angeles, SSN was the first in the Flight I. 31 submarines was built.

SSN-721, USS Chicago. (688VLS Flight II)

The next eight submarines was redesigned with VLS, Vertical Launch System with 12 launch tubes that could fire Tomahawk missiles.

SSN 772, USS Greeneville. (688i Flight III)

The final 23 built was built with an improvement program. They also has the VLS system and has large upgrades under the shell.
The largest visible change is that the diving planes are placed at the bow rather than on the sail, and are retractable.
