At the 2014 08-Open there will be a theme category again. This time it is Africa, so I decided to make a couple of quick builds just to promote this. I found that I had an old Airfix bag of the F-5A that would do for this.

| As it turned out one of the exhausts and both main wheels were missing. That was one of the disadvantages with the bagged kits of the era. A little hole in the bag and pieces would be lost. But I found some old Airfix wheels that I could use and scratched a new exhaust out of an old pen. |
| The decals for a Botswana AF plane came from MAV in South Africa. For a quick out of the box build I am rather pleased with the result. |
