I bought an Austin armoured car from Master Box for a quick build in a Group Build but didn't have time to build it. |
(Model finished 2022) |
I choose the Mk.III because of the interesting markings in the kit. When I first saw this kit I wanted one to build one from Ukraine but as I build mostly Swedish things now I tend to look for alternatives in the neighbouring Nordic country's if a Swedish option is out. So the one from Finland was also an option. |
I decided to do some work on the "ears" on the turrets as they were to simplified for my taste. |
But other than that I went "out of the box" |
The finished Mk.II ended up in grey paint. |
I opted for the German version for the Mk.III |
I could perhaps add some small details to it but I think I will move on to the next project instead. |
As I wanted a British WW1 car I bought the Austin Mk.IV as well. |
(Model finished 2022) |
I tried to build it out of the box. I've seen it called a Austin Armoured Car 1918 Pattern in a modelling forum. |
The Austin Mk.IV kit finished. I almost mixed up two different individs when I looked at the kit instructions. |
I like these kits from MasterBox even if their instructions for the markings could have been more informative. |
I had to look at the instructions for the 1/35 scale kit from MiniArt to understand wich markings to use. |
